Taco Mac

Here’s a recipe for Taco Mac using Velveeta shells and cheese:

Ingredients:

  • 2 boxes of Velveeta shells and cheese
  • 1 pound of ground beef (or ground turkey)
  • 1 packet of taco seasoning mix
  • 1 can (10 ounces) of Rotel diced tomatoes and green chilies (drained)

Instructions:

  1. Start by cooking the Velveeta shells and cheese according to the package instructions. Set them aside once they are done.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat, breaking it apart as it cooks, until it’s browned and cooked through.
  3. While cooking the ground beef, add the taco seasoning mix according to the package instructions. Typically, this involves adding water and simmering until the mixture thickens.
  4. Once the taco meat is cooked and seasoned, add the drained can of Rotel diced tomatoes and green chilies. Stir to combine and simmer for a couple of minutes until everything is heated through.
  5. Add the prepared Velveeta shells and cheese to the skillet with the taco meat mixture.
  6. Stir everything together until the cheese sauce, taco meat, and Rotel are evenly combined. Cook for an additional minute or two, allowing the flavors to meld.
  7. Taste the mixture and adjust the seasoning if necessary, adding more taco seasoning or spices to taste.
  8. Once everything is well combined and heated through, remove the skillet from the heat.
  9. Serve your delicious Taco Mac immediately as a comforting and flavorful meal.
